After the 2020 pandemic and #BLM protests, New York’s plywood barricades lined nearly every street - destined for landfill once their temporary use ended. re-ply began as a way to give that material new life, transforming it into outdoor dining spaces that helped restaurants reopen safely and beautifully.

Founded by architects Nick Flutter and Nikita Notowidigdo, re-ply grew from a shared love of design, food, and the culture of New York dining. Together, they’ve built a practice that bridges architecture and hospitality - bringing thoughtful design to everyday city life.

Re-ply has evolved into a fully engineered modular system - still affordable, still design-led, but built to last. Our kit-of-parts makes it simple to create compliant, attractive, and flexible setups that meet Dining Out NYC standards while elevating the street dining experience.

Since 2020, we’ve partnered with over 60 of New York's best restaurants and bars, refining our designs each season. We now offer a turnkey, full-service solution for every stage, from site plan to installation, servicing, and winter storage.
